Design Method Of Stainless Steel Mixing Tank

1.       The tank of the stainless steel stirred tank is a space for the chemical reaction of the material. It consists of a cylinder and upper and lower heads. It is usually closed and sometimes open, depending on the reaction medium.

2.       A heat transfer device for heating or cooling is provided inside or outside the can body, usually an outer jacket of the agitating tank or a coil in the kettle. 3

3.       In order to make the material mix evenly and the contact is good, a stirring device is needed in the tank body. The stirring device consists of a stirring shaft and a stirrer. The rotation is reduced by the motor through the reducer to the appropriate speed and then driven by the coupling. The vertical mixing shaft is cantilevered. An intermediate bearing or a bottom bearing may also be provided in the reaction vessel as needed.

4.       Since the agitator shaft is moving and the kettle head is static, it is necessary to seal (shaft seal) where the agitator shaft extends. The function of the shaft seal is to maintain the pressure (or vacuum) inside the device and prevent the reaction. Material escape and impurity infiltration. Shaft seals are usually sealed with packing or mechanical seals.
