The Role Of Screw Conveyor In Concrete Mixing Equipment

Suitable for horizontal or inclined transport of powdered, granulated and small pieces of material such as coal, ash, slag, cement, and grain. Screw conveyors are not suitable for conveying materials that are prone to deterioration, stickiness, and agglomeration. When the powder material is conveyed, it is easy to enter the bearing housing along the rotating shaft due to the characteristics of the powder material, thereby damaging the bearing. Therefore, the sealing problem of the bearing housing is considered in the design. The seal between the screw shaft of the auger and the bearing is sealed with a double oil seal. The oil seal on the left prevents fines from entering the bearing housing and the seal on the right prevents grease from flowing into the cylinder and contaminants. After the oil is packaged on the shaft, the pressure of the cutting edge and the shortening force of the self-tightening spring exert a certain radial holding force on the sealing shaft and block the leakage gap for sealing. The higher the rotational speed of the rotating shaft, the greater the conflict between the oil seal and the shaft, the higher the temperature rise and the lower the life of the oil seal. The key to the design of the oil seal seat is to ensure the coaxiality of the oil seal seat hole and the rotating shaft to ensure the interference of the oil seal lip on the rotating shaft. However, in the actual operation of the equipment, bearing damage is still very common because the oil seal does not allow the powder to flow into the bearing.
