Common faults in oil seals are as follows:
1. Bad oil seal
2. Poor installation
3. Lip wear
4. Oil seal lip expansion or hardening
5. Rubber aging
6. The outer surface roughness of the shaft is not suitable or the appearance hardness is not suitable (higher than HRC40). There are many reasons for oil seal failure. Once the oil seal fails, it should be replaced immediately. If it cannot be found and replaced in time, the bearing will be damaged.
A packing seal is added inside the housing, and the original bearing housing layout remains at the shaft end. The packaging sealing device is composed of a sealing seat, a packing, a connecting barrel wall, a gland, a pressing bolt and the like. The square holes corresponding to the compression bolts are evenly distributed on the cylindrical wall connected to the sealing seat. The improved layout protects the bearings from double seals. The increased packing seal makes normal protection easy. When the package is loose for a while, the package becomes loose due to wear and the like. Tighten the compression bolts with a wrench and push the gland to compress the packing. When the packing leaks abnormally, the powder will also be discharged from the square hole of the cylinder wall and will not enter the bearing housing. The oil seal in the bearing housing provides a further sealing effect.
No need to disassemble the bearing housing when replacing the packing. Simply loosen the gland, insert the packing into the seal seat, and then press firmly on the gland. This improved seal layout allows the powder to flow into the bearing, greatly increasing bearing life and reducing the amount of repair work that occurs due to bearing replacement.
